Waking up this morning, I had no idea I would find myself on a great hiking trail within an hours jaunt of Louisville. The Knobstone Trail is the longest continuous hiking trail in Indiana. Running 58 miles through the Knobstone Escarpment in Southern Indiana, it serves the region not only as a close hiking destination close to Louisville KY, but also as a place to train for an attempt at the Appalachian Trail.
